Without it ever being forced Jack will be there if and when you feel like talking ... with the knowledge that periods of silence is essential for both good music and when in the company of others.
While time is said to be the most valuable thing we have, Jack knows that spending time with someone, and not giving them your full attention, is time wasted.
When it fits the occasion Jack loves to play board games: scrabble, checkers, monopoly, and card games galore!
Wu Wei is an ancient tradition that Jack embraces. It is all about
full engagement, without forcing any agenda or topic. In sixty's
jargon, it's "Just let it flow, man!" The point being that Jack
maintains a relaxed atmosphere... even in traffic!

ASSISTANCE AT HOME​​ Okay, our pricing is flexible depending on your budget, the day of the week, the hour of the day and where you live. If you live within fifteen minutes of Jack's home, the cost is $25 for the first hour, and then is prorated in 15 minute increments. If you live more than 15 minutes away, Jack will talk with you about your needs, your budget, and do his best to be there for you. Be assured that the charge will be made clear. Also, please know this: if you are struggling financially, the charge may well be below the above rate! Lastly, if your location is quite distant from Jack, he will discuss the options. This is where the day, the time, and your address come into play.

VISITS WITH DRIVING, TOO For trips we charge by time only, not time and mileage, like UBER and LYFT. The charge is 35 cents per minute while driving. So, for example, if the round trip is 30 minutes, then the fee is $10.50 . This is in addition to the hourly rate. Let's say Jack arrives at 1:00 PM and picks you up and takes to the market, where you spend 25 or 30 minutes. Then the total charge would be $25 plus $10.50, which is $35.50. Compare that to other ride sharing sources!​​​​

ABOUT JACK
​
For over five years Jack has been driving professionally. He had over 1,000 rides with LYFT with a five star rating. More recently Jack worked for a leading senior assistance company before forming his own company. He bonded with so many clients that many of them made him their favorite. Jack will get you where you want to go... slowly and safely!
​
Jack also has loads of experience helping seniors around the house and in the kitchen. He's done everything from organizing closets, to making breakfast and lunch, and then doing the dishes!
​
Jack is a big-time animal lover! He quickly passes the sniff test with all dogs, and even aloof cats eventually come over to touch him. Jack does volunteer work with the Henrico Humane Society and Dream Catchers, an equine facility that helps kids with physical challenges.

Jack likes to keep busy. He recently published his first book and is working on another. His writing and personality reflect both of his past lives: as an English teacher and as a stand-up comedian. Jack is quite passionate about communication, storytelling, poetry and literature. Most of all, however, he loves to connect with people through smiles and laughter!​​
